I purchased a 5W & 7W to give more options for clubs past my 5-iron. The clubs arrived fairly quickly and were well packaged. The heads are a bit bigger than I expected but still look very nice behind the ball. The head covers are nice and soft and look quality. My only real critique is that the head cover numbers can’t be locked in place. I often had to take the cover off to make sure I was selecting the correct club.
The 7W performs quite well; it’s very easy to get in the air and flies very straight. It’s fairly easy to hit over small trees on those longer par 4s if you find yourself out of position. It has a good combination of distance, shot height, and stops quickly on the green. The 7W will probably be a permanent fixture in my bag.
The 5W is also very easy to hit and flies quite straight. I was a little worried I’d struggle to control these clubs since I usually play extra stiff in my woods; so, I thought I’d struggle to not hook them but this hasn’t been an issue. In fact, even when I actively try to hit a hook it tends to just draw instead. I don’t think the 5W will have a permanent place in the bag. It will probably only see use on windless days, but I’ll keep it in the car for when those days come.
